WHITE NAMED NAHL SOUTH POTW

Topeka, KS, OCTOBER 19, 2009: Topeka RoadRunners forward Ryan White was recognized today as the NAHL South Division Player Of The Week. The following is from NAHL.com:

Topeka forward Ryan White potted a goal and three assists as the RoadRunners skated to a 1-0-1 mark against Springfield.  On Friday, the Parker, Colo., native recorded a pair of assists in a 4-3 shootout loss. The next night, the 18-year-old rang up the game-winning goal and an assist as Topeka downed the Jr. Blues, 5-3.

\”Ryan is a highly-skilled forward who creates chances every time he touches the puck,\” said RoadRunners head coach Scott Langer.  \”He has a blistering shot and sees the ice well.\”

The North American Hockey League in conjunction with Sherwood awards Player Of The Week honors to a standout player from each division every Monday during the regular season. Last week, Topeka forward Nate Milam received the award and fellow RoadRunner Cole Schneider received Honorable Mention in the category.

The RoadRunners are on a 6-0-1 streak and are home for three games this weekend at Landon Arena.
