Tulik and Gransøe headed to Top Prospects

A trip to Plymouth, Mich. is soon in order for a couple of Topeka RoadRunners’ players.

Forward Dallas Tulik and goaltender Emil Gransoe have been selected to perform as members of the South Division at the 2018 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth. The tournament takes place February 27-28.

Tulik has notched 10 goals and 10 assists on the season for 20 points, while Gransoe has been solid in net with a .910 save percentage in 22 games.

The tournament includes 100 of the NAHL’s top players, most without a NCAA college commitment, with each of the five teams playing two games total. Only the NAHL Selects team is eligible to have commitments, meaning over 80 players will be vying for college and professional attention.

The NAHL South’s team will be coached by Karlis Zirnis, as his Shreveport Mudbugs currently hold the top spot in the division.

With hundreds of NCAA and NHL scouts on hand, Tulik stated he is looking forward to showcasing his talent. His family will also be on hand, as he grew up around the Kalamazoo area, less than two hours from Plymouth.

“It’s a huge honor to be selected for the tournament,” Tulik said. “I’ll get to play with some of the top guys in the league and getting to see my family will make it that much better.”

RoadRunners head coach Justin DeMartino stated both players have showcased great work ethic this season and are deserving of the opportunity.

“I think Emil and Dallas both have been working hard to earn this,” DeMartino said. “They’ve both continued to step up throughout the season, with Dallas stepping up offensively and Emil stepping up defensively.”
