(Topeka, Kan., Sept. 22, 2016) – The Topeka RoadRunners, in partnership with Stormont Vail Health, announced today that Diabetes Awareness Night will be Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Kansas ExpoCentre when the RoadRunners host the Springfield Jr. Blues in a North American Hockey League game
RoadRunners General Manager Joe Clark said the event is designed to help raise awareness of both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
“This is a great opportunity for our community to come together and help battle diabetes, as well as educate people about the disease,” said Clark. “With the help of Stormont Vail and Cotton O’Neil Diabetes & Endocrinology, we plan on this being a big night for everyone involved.”
Cotton O’Neil Diabetes & Endocrinology patients and their families can get a voucher for reduced admission at their next patient visit or by visiting the event page on Facebook. With this voucher, ticket pricing is $5 for adults and children 12 and under will be admitted free.
