TONY THOMAS COMMITS TO AIR FORCE

Topeka RoadRunners rookie forward Tony Thomas has cemented his college plans, committing to play Division I hockey for the Air Force Academy Falcons beginning in 2010-11.

The 6\’3\”, 195 lb forward from South Lyon, MI has been rock solid, appearing in all 58 games for the RoadRunners in the regular season, one of only three teammates to do so. Going into the final game, Thomas has 20 goals and 26 assists, and a +19 rating. Head Coach Scott Langer was emphatic in his praise. \”Tony has met and exceeded every character standard we expect of a RoadRunner. Air Force is not only getting a solid player with a very good hockey IQ, but an even better young man.\” The Air Force roster is heavily populated with NAHL talent, including former RoadRunners Eric Artman and Brandon Johnson.  Langer went on to say, \”I have always held the Staff at Air Force in very high regard. They did a great job recruiting Tony and I know it work out well for everyone.\”

Air Force competes in the Atlantic Hockey Association, a Division I conference. The campus is located in Colorado Springs, CO.
