The Topeka RoadRunners Billet Program Wants You!

The Topeka RoadRunners Billet Program Wants You!

The Topeka RoadRunners, a Tier II Junior A hockey team in the North American Hockey League, is in need of housing families. The team is comprised of 16 to 20-year-old elite athletes, coming from across the United States, Canada and Europe, that play Junior hockey in pursuit of obtaining a college scholarship or more.

Every year, families from Topeka and its surrounding communities open their hearts and homes to these young men, and make them a part of the family. The family home is the beginning of the players’ RoadRunner experience, and it is one of the key components to the team’s success on the ice. It is the essence of what makes the RoadRunner organization a family. The bond the players and housing families develop is second to none. Many players stay in touch with their housing families long after the season is over.

The RoadRunner organization thoroughly screens all applicants so that we may provide the best environment for our players. Our families work hand in hand with the organization to provide great direction and leadership for all of our players. Families are screened on their value systems, their ability to provide safe and clean housing, and of course, great food for our always hungry young athletes!
