On Saturday, June 30th Jen Montgomery will be back! We will be at Qdoba on Wanamaker helping her raise money for a really good cause. Please read her letter below.
Hello!
Believe it or not, on October 14thI will be running the Nike Women’s Marathon in San Francisco. Throughout my life, I have known and lost loved ones to their battle with cancer. I decided to join Team in Training to help raise money for cancer research.
Team in Training is a fundraising program which benefits The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). My goal is to raise $3,500 by August 4th! This is a big challenge, I know, but not as big as the challenge the patients and their loved ones face every day when diagnosed with cancer. In fact, more than 75% of the funds spent by LLS go directly to research the causes and treatments for blood cancers.
So, you guessed it, I am calling on the greatest fans in the NAHL to help! Big or small, any contribution will be put to good use and it goes directly to patients and to finding a cure. Also, Owner Don Stone II has decided to challenge the RoadRunners family to assist me in raising $750, which he will personally match! That would get be a third of the way to my goal!
There are two ways to make a donation:
1. Visit my personal TNT Training & Fundraising webpage: http://pages.teamintraining.org/rm/nikesf12/jenmonty#My-Fundraising-Page(you can find this link on my Facebook or feel free to email me at jenmontgomery4@gmail.com)
– All donations are private, secure and 100% Tax Deductible
2. Attend this event, I'd love to see you all again! ->
I will gladly accept donations after August 4th; however, the sooner I meet my fundraising goal, the more I can focus my energy on preparing for the marathon.
Thank you in advance for your consideration in supporting this effort. If you have any more questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me, or check out The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society web page at www.lls.org.
Cheers!
Jen Montgomery
