Pilots to Honor First Responders

The Topeka Pilots are set to begin a crucial three-game series against the Odesssa Jackalopes January 18-20 at the Kansas Expocentre.
There will be important happenings around the arena and throughout the games, as well.
On Friday and Saturday, games will begin at 7:05 p.m., with doors at 6:05 p.m.
All first responders and dispatchers, including Topeka and anywhere else, can receive $7 tickets for any seat in the arena. There is a maximum of six tickets that can be purchased at the $7 rate per employee ID/badge shown. Tickets are available at the Expocentre box office with employee ID or badge and can be purchased before games during regular box office hours or on the night of the contests.
The Pilots will wear special themed first responder jerseys for Friday and Saturday. Jerseys specifically honor Topeka first responders with the Topeka Police Department, Topeka Fire Department and AMR patches on the jerseys. Jerseys will be auctioned off immediately after Saturday’s game, with proceeds benefitting the Fraternal Order of Police Foundation of Topeka and Shawnee County. Funds will specifically go to helping families who have lost officers in the line of duty in Topeka/Shawnee county.
There will be a post-game party at HHB BBQ, 906 S Kansas Ave, immediately following the game on Friday. The whole Pilots team will be there for autographs and conversation. HHB will serve the whole menu and stay open until the party stops.
There is also a family 4-pack deal available Saturday’s game for $55. This deal includes 4 blue level (endzone) tickets, a tri-pack of Cashmere Popcorn, 1 hour of bowling at West Ridge Lanes and 4 shoe rentals. The first 25 purchased will also receive a complementary car wash from Eagle Auto Wash.
These are on sale only through the Pilots office until Wednesday. The Pilots office can be reached at 785-266-7825.
Then after Friday and Saturday’s contests have wrapped up, the Sunday matinee will include a 4:05 p.m. puck drop, with doors at 3:05 p.m.
For the game, the Pilots will be working with the Topeka Rescue Mission for Undies Sunday. Fans are encouraged to bring new & packaged under garments for donation. Bras, panties, boxers, undershirts, long johns, and more will be accepted. Men’s, women’s, kids, all sizes and styles are encouraged for donation at the door upon arrival.
