October 3rd Game Moved to Saturday
The Topeka RoadRunners game against the Springfield Junior Blues originally scheduled for next Thursday has been moved to Saturday, October 5th. The series, now spanning Oct. 4th and 5th, is the Roadrunners “Pink the Rink” Night, which will feature the Runners in specialty pink jerseys honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A team autographed pink jersey will be available both nights at the Customer Service Booth in the NE Concourse for fans to bid in a silent auction. The game worn jerseys will be auctioned off following the game on Saturday, Oct. 5th. Half of the proceeds from the auction will go to support breast cancer research and the American Cancer Society. Race Against Breast Cancer and Relay For Life will be joining the American Cancer Society at the games, helping to raise money and educate fans about this devastating disease and the great work being done to fight it.
