Yesterday a few of the RoadRunners found themselves out in the community for Get Fit and the Coach’s Show. During Get Fit (sponsored by Subway and Great Life Golf & Fitness) Luka Maver and Tyler Johnson had an intense game of floor hockey with some kids from Jay Shideler Elementary. Maver had the opportunity to show off his goalie skills while Johnson was able to step out of the goal and set up some nice shots for his elementary teammates. At the end of the game all of the kids were given gift bags provided by The Spectacle.
Meanwhile, during the Coach’s Show at Dickey’s BBQ, Coach Josh Kamrass talked about the recent sweeps against the Bulls and the Jackalopes as well as what it’s like to coach his brother, Seth Kamrass. The newest recruit, Johnny Walker, took over the mic and spent some time talking about his experiences playing for both Topeka and Minot as well as his big fight during his first game with the RoadRunners. Be sure to look for him on the ice during the next home game on March 18 and if you can’t wait that long for more from the RoadRunners, come down to the next Coach’s Show at Skinny’s onFebruary 16 at 6 p.m. or you can catch it live on ustream.com.
